MODULE 6 : Comparison between Germany and Latvia

In this module, participants compare the knowledge gained in the previous modules with the historical circumstances in Liepāja. They learn about the “Latviešu leģions” (translated: Latvian Legion), a formation of the Waffen-SS, and the occupation of Latvia by Nazi Germany. The brutal repression against civil resistance movements is also discussed here.
