MUT - PROJECT
MEMORY · UNDERSTANDING · TOLERANCE
A contribution to a living culture of remembrance.

Our project “Memory · Understanding · Tolerance”, abbreviated as M·U·T, focuses on the historical events of the Second World War in the Emsland region (Germany) as well as Liepāja (Latvia) and promotes a living culture of remembrance. Our partners are the Adult Education Center in Meppen and the Department of Lifelong Learning at Riga Technical University in Liepāja.

The project partners of M·U·T develop digital ⤷ learning opportunities for historical and political education, particularly for migrants and disadvantaged adults who need low-level access to the topic.
Important learning sites are the Esterwegen Concentration Camp Memorial and the Holocaust Memorial in Liepāja. The aim is to expand knowledge, promote reflection and support civic engagement and inclusion.
